Excellent CD single July 14, 2006 Blue Gardener For mild Moby fans this single is completely unnecessary to own since you're better off just buying the whole album from whence it comes, but for avid collectors of Moby's B-Sides and such this CD is a must. The Perfecto remix of Natural Blues is pretty much better than the original song with a nice techno beat in the background, and Whispering Wind is just as good as anything you'd find on Moby's "Play" album. As for the Mike D remix, it contains no samples from the original song and thus is more of a cover, but it's somewhat interesting to listen to. Although this single for Natural Blues is great, I am aware that there is a version with an extra song "Sick In the System" and perhaps a few more remixes that would be more appropriate to purchase. It's a trifle rare though if I'm not mistaken. Anyway, I'd give this single four and a half stars and would recommend it to any Moby collectors out there.
ex-al-en-tay September 9, 2001 i think this CD is a great addition to anybody's collection, except for the fact that this doesn't have both of the Natural Blues B-Sides, and i have no idea why the Mike D remix is only an 4-minute edit, and not the whole 6:20 remix. oh well, whattaya gonna do. unlike that other guy said, i think the mike d remix is the best song on the cd, and mike diamond doesnt even use vera hall's vocals.
moby's best! December 17, 2000 Danilo Pochini (amsterdam, netherlands) this is moby's best song ever. it's featured in his latest album Play. i will soon own that album. Moby is the best!

While the album Play is a great album, the Natural Blues maxi-single is an excellent addition to one's collection. The first track is the Radio Edit of the album track (track 3 on the single), which is about a minute shorter yet practically identical to the album version. Track 2, the Perfecto Remix, is a very good remix. Its heavier, faster beat seems to give the song a new life, making it even more intense and even spiritual while at the same time making it more danceable. It may seem repetative at first, but once the track gets to where it wants, it becomes worth the price of the single. Unfortunately, track 4, is horrible. I like the Beastie Boys, but Mike D should stick to his element. His remix slows down the sampled Vera Hall's gospel vocals to the point where it sounds more like the male town drunk than a female gospel singer. Track 5 is Whispering Wind, a kinda slow song that seems to just be tacked on for sake of taking up more time. Overall, the radio edit, the Perfecto remix, and the album version make this single a must-have.

This is just such an awesome song! The tunes are catchy and sad and the lyrics touch me. I LOVE MOBY!
