| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com Product Description Designed by the seasoned audio professionals at Stanton, the RM-80 four-channel rack-mountable mixer is built with club and mobile DJs in mind. Outfitted with a master XLR balanced output for pristine sound quality, along with an impressive collection of features and functions, the device compares favorably with studio mixers costing several times as much. The RM-80 comes with nine line, four phono, and three mic inputs that can accommodate even the most complex DJ setups. Users will also appreciate the individual gain controls and three-band equalizers (+9/-26 dB) for each channel, along with the effects loop that makes it simple to add effects or samples to the mix. The mic channel, meanwhile, features a two-band equalizer, independent level controls, an on/off switch, and a VCA-controlled auto-talk function. Further benefits derive from the handy fader-start function that triggers compatible CD players and the fully assignable cross fader (A, B, and bypass). The mixer also boasts an extensive cue section with cue level and cue pan controls and stereo/split functions. The cue pan fader is even assignable to the booth output, allowing for in-booth monitoring. Stanton extended similar flexibility to the effect send and return inputs, making them assignable to the master output, each channel (including the mic channels), or the headphone outputs for monitoring. The company also included a sub-mic option on channel four, allowing DJs mic access to the three-band equalizer and panning controls. The numerous features add up to a vigorous mixer that's ready to do the heavy lifting whether on stage or in the studio. Plus, at 19 by 3.5 by 8.75 inches (W x H x D), the RM-80 fits easily in a rack but is small enough for portable use. As with all Stanton mixers, the device carries a one-year warranty on parts and labor. What's in the Box RM-80 mixer, user's manual.
