Fantastic Chillout Compilation August 6, 2008

A friend of mine picked this up for me in London on her way back to the States and this album has been a pleasant surprise. I have been disappointed with some of my Ministry of Sound compilations, but this one is very good. It has a lot of the classic chillout songs, so if you already own a bunch of chillout albums, you might want to skip this because you're not really going to find anything new and shiny. BUT, the fact that MOS put 3 cds of the best chillout in one album for a somewhat reasonable price has made my ears quite happy. I own some other MOS chillout annuals, and sometimes they can get a little beat-heavy, bordering on deep house music - this album keeps it chilled. There are not many asian or middle-eastern inspired tracks. If that is your cup of tea, I recommend MOS's Karma Collection or Karma Collection Sunrise. Those are excellent albums as well.
