Ministry of Sound Germany has published this year's edition of one of the most successful compilation series ever - the Clubbers' Guide Ibiza '07! Everything that'll heat up Ibiza's dance-floors in 2007 is yours for the taking on this phenomenal compilation. Once again, the sound package is complemented by a chunky scene guide: a 48-page booklet, this year as a tri-lingual edition, in English, Spanish and German. First up on this double-disc set is top House DJ Jonathan Ulysses who has been a resident at Space for 8 years. As well as playing other clubs on Ibiza (such as Amnesia, El Divino and Privilege), the man is in demand from Munich to Shanghai and regularly heats up the clubs in his home country of England. On the second disc, German DJ/producer duo VooDoo & Tommy Serano have also ranked among the residents at the Ibizan superclub, Space since the late 90s. Their production "Don't You Know" was a top Ibiza hit in 2005. Their mix of uplifting House tunes, pumping Electro and outstanding classics has been a crucial factor in creating the ultimate "Balearic Sound". While I was in Ibiza (on a cruise) I heard a couple songs played in the clubs from this album. The guide would had probably helped me more if I had more time on the island. But, if you're going to Ibiza on limited time, you probably won't remember half of the music since it's more about the "experience". Let this be more of an introduction for you, if anything. Also, there are a bunch of vendors in the town with CD shops. They have listening stations outside where you can hear the "latest". It's a town I definitely intend on going back to!
