Album Description The Ibiza Annual returns for the first time since 2002, with a stellar line up of tracks reflecting the return of Ibiza from the apparent decline of recent years - featuring 3 discs of the kind of upfront, classic and chilled house music that Ministry of Sound have become recognized for. Martin Solveig's huge 'Everybody', Axwell's heavily bubbling 'Feel The Vibe', the big follow up from Uniting Nation and upfront nuggets from Paul Johnson and the possibly massive LRD are the big hitters on disc one, not to mention one of the most heavily played Ibiza anthems of the moment, Steve Mac's 'Loving You More'. Disc 2 focuses on huge classics from Ibiza's golden era, from Moloko and EBTG to Roger Sanchez and David Morales. Disc 3 pulls together a roll call of the biggest chilled tracks ever in Ibiza, with Leftfield, KOT, Sabres of Paradise, the Beloved and Rob Dougan all featured. Ministry of Sound. 2005.

Great group of CD's November 16, 2005 Music Man I always give MOS a chance when it comes to their CD compilations, and I usually lose. This time was a different story. The first CD just get's you going and wanting to get up and dance. The second CD just brings you back to the old-school dance songs that everyone loves. Classics. The last one is your chill CD where it just brings you back down, but relaxing and nice. Buy these CD's!!

This is a great collection of music a real bargain. I find that I listen to all three CD's all the time which is quite rare, usually with large compilastion I have to skip a bunch of songs or a whole CD to get to something I like. If you love house music this is the one for you has all the essentials and then some.
Great Mix of House Anthems and New School. September 28, 2005 E. Baltazar (Los Angeles) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
So far so good. I'm only into CD1 but so far I really dig it. I love deep house and if your into house you won't be diappointed.
The music is upbeat, definately more to dance too then chill out.
Some house anthems, jazz riffs, even rock pop, and as my friends like to call it --Black MaMa sings. And all of that in the first 10 songs.
It's a great mix of Sexy House, Happy House , and Deep House.
Can't wait to throw in the Benzo's cd-changer.
Mucho recommended.
Needless to say..and to keep it fair cuz $30 bucks is price for a night of dancing.
as taken from UK reviewer:
<< OK, so you only get 1cd of recent stuff (mostly funky house), but it's all good and there's no filler. CD2 is a club classics disc with songs that everybody probably already owns, but in a nice change, CD3 is chillout, which you don't normally get with the Annual.
Definately value for money, and a definate return to form for Ministry. >>
Enjoy! and I'll see you at the clubs. If your ever in Los Angeles, make sure you hit DEEP on Sunday nights.
Later House Heads!

To 'The Curmudgeon'... If you are going to 'review' an album, it normally requires you actually listen to it. However, given your obvious contempt for dance music in general it's a fair assumption to say you didn't sit through a second of it. Instead, you would rather pick any dance album out of the blue to rant about how much you hate the genre. To use your own words, YOU are the poor, sad fool here, because it's quite pathetic that you need to come into a listing for a cd that only dance music fans would be interested in to talk trash.
Ironic that you would call this 'music for morons to overdose to' yet use Radiohead as an example of good music. Talk about depressing, self indulgent tripe. I'm sure plenty of depression related overdoses have occurred with that group serving as the soundtrack! At least people who listen to dance know how to go out and enjoy themselves. You however, can stick to your Radiohead, lock yourself in a musty room and cry yourself to sleep while the rest of us who aren't scared to dance go out and enjoy ourselves!
