| Editorial Reviews:
Album Description Marcus Finger and Juergen Kadel met for the first time in 1995. Music was immediately a topic of passionate discussion - both were already working as successful producers. Marcus was creating ambient sounds, and Juergen had released over twenty driving house singles. They soon resolved to launch a new musical project, and Hacienda was born. The first album Sunday Afternoon (1996) appeared on Sven Vaeth's Harthouse label, but the sound was more British than German - so it was no surprise that the first LP garnered the most attention in the UK. The British press celebrated the project as Germany's answer to Fila Brazillia, Lionrock, or Nightmares on Wax. Intimated on previous projects, the new album, their fourth, is a clear and musically eloquent realization of genuine songs. The duo boldly navigates the border between danceable house tunes and chilled, sometimes melancholic tracks.

AT "THIS VERY MOMENT"!!! November 5, 2005 Darrell L. Lee (Jackson, MS) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I still can't believe these guys are from Germany, but they are! Producers Markus Finger and Jurgen Kadel are masters at what they do, bringing you various styles of music that range from disco-house, to r&b to jazz to dub and everything else in between. "This Very Moment" showcases more vocals than Hacienda's previous "Third Door Left", which ain't a bad thing, because the vocals actually add character and a certain accessibilty that wasn't achieved from that release. The beats on "This Very Moment" are better as well. If these two don't get the recognition they deserve with this release then they never will. Highly Recommended!!!!
