Good Annual! August 18, 2006 Juan Martin (CA, USA) The Annual 2004 is really good (better than the 2005, IMO) Right from the start you get into action with the EuroDance/Trance of Disc 1...From "Love Me Right" all the way to Steve Muranos "Passion" the disc has an exceptional flow of good songs...then it kinda loosens but not drastically...
Disc 2 is great as well...Milk & Sugar's "Let the Sun Shine" starts the party and the disc keeps up the good flow of songs pretty much untilt the end of the compilation...
ofcourse some great songs are missing (IMO) like Paul van Dyk's "Nothing But You" and Tiesto's "Traffic"...and others...but this Annual is still pretty strong.
I'm Lovin' It November 16, 2004 L. Koch (chicago, IL) 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought this 3 CD set when I was in Scotland in January, and I has not come out of my CD rotation yet! The sheer volume of songs here has something for everyone's ear. I also purchased Clubber's Guide 2004 & 21st Century Disco, both of which I recommend. If you are looking for something similar to this set, but a little more compressed, go with the Clubber's Guide 2004 set - it has a lot of the same songs.
Good effort. August 16, 2004 Kris Petersen (South Windsor, CT United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to Ministry of Sound releases, I only have 10 of their compilations - But this is one of the best of them, especially for someone new. The main reason I buy comps is to have the 'best' songs, so I can discover new artists then buy their own albums/singles. The highlights are Junior Jack's 'Da Hype' (Although it's the dub version with no lyrics - I highly recommend that single in addition - the singer is no other than Robert Smith of The Cure...) 'Cry Little Sister' by the Lost Brothers, 'Lonliness' and 'Wilderness' are also great tracks. 'Deepest Blue' is a highlight of disc 2, and disc 3 is made entirely of material from older annuals - Sort of a cash-in, but if you can get this set cheap enough, it's a cool bonus. However, Even in the limited amount of MOS CDs I have, there's alot of duplicates... But if you're just starting out, this is a great choice. However, if I was able to notice alot of recycled material, I'm sure people that have been buying these compilations for years will be even more annoyed. Other than that, though, this is a good mix - Highly recommended.
Awesome CD for people who like Dance June 16, 2004 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've been impressed with the things MOS have put out. Granted this is not exactly the best album I have recieved from them, it's pretty damn good! If you like a good dance CD to add to your collection I would say this is a good start.
