Album Description Feel the warmth of the seductive groove, with unreleased Louie Vega, Jay Sinister and the Julie McKnight vocal bullet 'Diamond Life', a future classic, which grows with every play. Another heady concoction of the deep, hypnotic beats with soul-drenched vocal power, this album's layers are more slamming and memorable with every play. Let the sunshine in! Featuring one CD mixed by Jay-J and one mixed by Miguel Migs. Slipcase. Defected. 2003.
Album Details Known for Packing their Crates with Energy Filled Deep and Soulful Sounds, Miguel Migs and Jay-j Sets Include Energetic Garage, Smooth Deep House and Pumping Disco Tracks Programmed with a Unique Flair and Style.

A must have!!! September 21, 2007 B. Goldman (USA) "Leave it to Defected to incite energy out of Migs and Jay-J. This is a movin' collection. The mixes are well selected, mixed, and effected - definitely a dancer's delight. Mig's set more closely mimicks his actual dancefloor gigs (good energy with just enough bump and OH! those double baselines). This opposed to the fluffier side of SF glamour house he's sometimes given/forced to sling at at chic DJ bars (the same feel as his last two major releases on Naked Music). Even the lapses in overt energy intended to cool out the party people are admirably thought-out. Incidentally, the production values are really (really cool pans, filtering, etc.), which makes for a good headphone vibe, as well. I don't know if this is where our Moulton/Naked brothers are headed, but I sure dig it. Bottomline: This is as good a representation of West Coast House (whatever that means, exactly) flavor as the world now knows."

being a DJ must be very difficult September 25, 2005 Disco Ball (NC) 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
I'm an English teacher who loves house music. But what do I know about making a house track? That's what this disc left me wondering as I tried to determine why I disliked all but four songs. Within these four there were either great beats or rich vocals or themes that evoked nostalgia for another time and place (Sweet Sonora). Otherwise, I was pulling faces as if I'd eaten pickled lemons.
Excellent deep house February 26, 2005 Jeff M (Walnut Creek, CA United States) Great two disk set. Not as hot as Jay-J reflections but worthy of a purchase. Best tracks (in my opinion) are No, No, No, The best part, and I think I.
Migs is Amazing February 7, 2005 William J. Serson (Ottawa, Canada) Migs is amazing. That's all I can say...
Hate to give these djs only 4 stars January 27, 2005 C. Stevens (Long Beach, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have had this set since it was first released, and I still listen to both cds, however I can only give them both 4 stars. I do this because they leave me a little bit let down. I've been to see Miguel spin about 10 times, and have been in total bliss each time. These discs, while bringing out some excellent tracks ("diamond life" kicks, as do "City People" and "all I need"... wow), have an over-all flavor of a recent Cream Anthems mix combined with Hed Kandi. Both of which I love and play a lot, but I just wanted more originality from these guys. That being said, I would buy this set again in a heart beat, and think it's well worth the money. Good quality music, just not groundbreaking or niche-making.
