The biggest little indie mag... December 8, 2005 David (Up-Middle-State New York) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Those who truly follow music of any genre know that it basically has two tiers, The top one of the artists everyone knows about and listens to on the radio 5 times a day. Then there is the whole other tier of generally-unknown to completely obscure artists that often deserve more coverage, but fail to get it. URB steps in to correct that misstep, covering the best (and making sure to point out the worst) of Hip-Hop, Electronica, and some Rock that you may have missed in the general hustle-and-bustle of life. Varying from being more focused on Hardcore Underground Rap, to European techno, URB may not always follow standard genre conventions, but with all the new good music you'll be listening to you won't mind the eclectic music shown...you may even be thankful for it.

I have been reading this magazine since it was on black and white news print...when I was a teenager from San Diego making the drive to LA everyweekend. I am now 29 and live in ITALY and still read it...need I say more?
Tomorrow Music December 19, 2003 B. Lane (New York, New York USA) 5 out of 10 found this review helpful
You hear it in your favorite chic bar. You hear it seeping from the computer science/music major's dorm room. You hear it in those Mitsibishi car commercials. URB features the music of tomorrow today. Forget the charts (and the herd). Get URB and XLR8R and uncover some real sonic treasures.
REAL HIP-HOP!!! January 31, 2003 Knowledge777 (Chicago, IL) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
This magazine is the real deal Holyfield! They tell you somethings you can't find anywhere else. They'll tell you about up and coming artists and underground artists that are still hungry and at the top of their game, not about these commercial cats that lost love for the art.
