This one never really takes off October 13, 2008 Ricardo Mansur (San Francisco, CA) I'm a huge fan of Markus but this compilation never really takes off. Listening to it reminds me of playing Nintendo back in the early 90's. The tracks are nothing more but a few repeated drums and synths mixed together. There are no vocals (which may be a good thing depending on the compilation) but on this one, it only makes it worse.
You get tired of listening to it less than halfway through it, while awaiting for that one track that will lift this comp up, except that track never really comes. After you're done listening to it you feel like you're back in the beginning, in other words, it never really changes. No wonder none of the tracks contained in this one were successful.
Miami and Ibiza are much better compilations by Markus which I strongly recommend instead of this one. Let's see what Markus will bring us for 2009.
Not bad, pretty good, not great. September 18, 2008 David Ceremauga (USA) A lot of bang for the buck seems to be the word of the day for this release. Great mixes, good songs, and when I purchased them, only 1.99 each. Price went up since my purchase so I now give it 4 stars. I don't like that mixes are 1 track, you can't skip past a song you don't like. Other than that, it is great listening!
can you believe this deal?? double disc for $2!! August 21, 2008 Kristian Kett (DC, USA) really I am listening to the first disc as I write this and the first 5 minutes is worth $2 let along the rest of the album. Buy this right now!
Sweet mix for an even sweeter price July 4, 2008 KAL-EL (Philadelphia, PA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Very good progressive style mix from Marcus. its actually sounds very "experemintal" in some ways. I think the 2nd mix was much better then the first. Mostly because it was more fluid. The two disc CD is an import that will set you back some bucks. The mp3 version is only a $1.98. im someone who normally prefers the "physical CD" copy rather then an mp3 file. However, the price for this mix was to good to pass up
progressive July 1, 2008 Big T (Las Vegas) Very progressive. Took a few listens to enjoy it a lot. Another solid job by one of the top DJs of today. To get a feel for what I like (and why I would like this one), other artists I like are: Gabriel & Dresden; Above & Beyond; Cosmic Gate; Tiesto; Sander Van Doorn; Deadmau5.
