Global Gathering delivers again... April 8, 2008 Frank S. Castro (Los Angeles, CA) Although not as many good tunes as the 2006 version, this 3 CD set is a must have for fans of electro, house, and trance.... This compilation is all over the place, and that is a good thing. The songs don't get stale although some of the trance numbers go on a little too much, but I'm not a huge trance fan so you can ignore my critique of that part of the CD... Can't wait to see what they do for 2008!
Ugh. Return to Sender March 1, 2008 Gordon Ewasiuk (Washington, DC) All signs pointed to a banging, trance session with this 3cd set. Import from the UK? Check! From Godskitchen in Birmingham? Check! Globalgathering? Check!
I put the first CD in the player and...
heard some type of electronic music that I had never heard before in 10+ years of following trance and house.
Cycling through CD1 found absolutely nothing worth listening to. CD2 goes in. Utter rubbish. CD3? Same results.
Three CDs of some type of music from some far out planet.
This is not the Globalgathering heard in years past on BBC Radio1.
