Album Description TRANCE, whether you like your Trance melodic and uplifting, or hard and fast, Trance by any definition is here to stay. From the Warehouse Parties of the 90's to Television Commercials in 2007, Trance has become part of the new millennium, part of our lifestyle. And all because of DJs like George Acosta. George proves every time he puts a needle on a record that "Trance", whatever the label, has changed, evolved, become a lifestyle, a culture...as well it should. With over 15 years of experience as a DJ and producer, George has helped change and evolve Trance from an underground movement to massive festival experiences throughout the world. "George Acosta is probably America's most unique DJ and has undoubtedly been a major force in shaping the sound of trance in Miami and beyond" says fellow DJ Dave Ralph. George Acosta is America's representative in the global Trance scene. George Acosta continues playing some of the biggest clubs and festivals in the world, Berlin's Love Parade, as well as Miami's Ultra Beach Festival and Space Night Club to name a few. And with demand for George reaching a fever pitch, he is producing his new Mix CD, "A State Of Mind" with top American Dance Music label Moist Music. This ambitious Double CD will represent his legendary all night sets, evoking the different emotions and textures of his sets, from epic, string-soothed splendor to searing tech-trance.

George Acosta-The Best Trance DJ out there May 16, 2008 garry This cd is about the same style as his late cd AM Edition but this cd sounds better
One of my Top DJ's April 4, 2008 Daniel Trujillo (NC) A perfect name for a perfect Album. George Acosta one of my top favorite DJ's does it again. My opinion on his mixes compared to other Trance DJ's is his mixes are deep, very deep trance. One second your listening to the intro next thing you know your all hyped up in the song. Very good build ups and transitions into each track. Best for Trance fans
The best trance album of 2007 October 18, 2007 Scott D. Koster 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I thought this was by far the best trance album of 2007. I play this album over and over and love it everytime. This is by far some of Acosta's best work since Touched.
Honest Review August 19, 2007 George Thomas (Chicago) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
George -- what happened? Where did the ethereal energy, momentous melody, euphoric ecstasy that your music provided go to? Where is it? It certainly was NOT in this "state of mind" that you're in. I was accustomed to buying anything that was Acosta -- whether it was his own album or a collaboration -- if it had "George Acosta," I would buy it without haste or without pre-listening. I am going to be more cautious now.
This album seems to have been created to compete against Commercial DJ's like Tiesto, Oakenfold, and PVD. George's previous albums did not compete against other DJ's -- they competed against all the boundaries of the Listener's imagination which unleashed the most precious memories, thoughts, and images. This album is repetitive, it's danceable, but not beautiful. And that is what Acostanation is about -- BEAUTIFUL music that inspires and motivates. Not repetitive, ugly, commercial techno music which this is quite the example of.
Buy this album only if you support George Acosta -- which I still do and will. Don't buy it to escape into the land of motivational, inspirational, climactic, ethereal, energetic, and beautiful music George USED to produce. I am quite disappointed because it's not like he produces a CD every month -- now we have to wait another year with our fingers crossed that George NEVER beings out an album even close to this caliber.
If you need something to listen to in the meantime before Acosta realizes the mistake he produced, go listen to Ace Da Brain -- his music is GUARANTEED Beautiful. He's got numerous track samples on mySpace.
We still love you George!!!
