ugh... July 2, 2008 Christian Trautman This is the only dance CD I owned that I was glad to see get stolen when my car got busted into.
I hope they hated it as much as I did...
Just no flow to this cd at all.
Maimi CD2 is PERFECT!! Awesome two-CD set! Buy it!!! July 20, 2007 DefiledHorror (Tulsa, Oklahoma) After George Acosta's highest charting mix set in 2003 ("Touched"), Ultra Records released later that year George's next mix set "Miami." This 2CD set is similar to "Touched" where the first CD is more mainstream and softer, and the second CD is darker and the more harder Tech/Trance. This set though is by far (up through 2007) his most varied of the two-disc sets.
With that being said...CD2 is my personal favorite Trance CD of any I have heard or own. It is over 70 minutes of rip-roaring, thumping, hard Trance/Tech-Trance music! This cd never gets old for me, and it's absolutely perfect. An awesome opening here with Miss Looney's "Superbitch," and booming all the way through the end with Talla 2XLC's "Innoncence (Club Mix)." It is too hard to pick a highlight from 12 perfectly mixed tracks that George uses. I would love to see him once again mixing more of the harder Trance material like this. He still does, but he has more gone with the melodic Trance, and less of the Tech/Trance music.
CD1 took a little longer to grow on me, but is a great mix of the softer side of Trance especially when it is compared to CD2.
Some of the reviews here are pretty negative, and many argue whether or not this set is House.....but definitely do yourself a favor and buy this set! If you want to hear some hard pounding Trance, you won't be disappointed with CD2.....if you want some of the softer Trance you got CD1. With "Miami," you cannot lose!!
Just cashing in on the city's name... December 5, 2006 Jack Dempsey (South Miami Beach, Florida) Other than that, this is about as "Miami" as drum and bass. If you're really looking for that Miami cd, just go pick up something by Oscar G. Either his "Made in Miami" cd or his "Live at Space." Even more, go get Jerome Syndenham's "Electric Pussycat" or the new Rolando cd in the "Nitelife/NRK" label series. Even Peter R. got it right with his "I love Miami" cd. Deep, dark, pusling house...tribal, pouding drums. This is Miami. Not this travesty that George Acosta has synched together and called "Miami."
Avoid at all costs unless you are into the whole trancey thing.

George has returned, this time with a fresh new sound.Cd 1 is more soft epic and melodic trance while cd 2 is more upbeat dark/progessive trance. You have never heard an Acosta cd like this, this is one of a kind.Only a true dance music lover can appreciate this double cd set. This is not recommended for beginners,(start with "Awake")Listen to it a few times, then you will love it.As with any Acosta album ...you will experience nothing but the best in trance/dance music ...Long live Acosta Nation!
