Beautiful Trance February 24, 2006 D. Reddick Again another great addition from the man who mastered The Miami Trance World....
ATB shines, Acosta falls short October 31, 2005 John Feider CD 1: 5 stars CD 2: 3 stars ATB did a flawless job of selecting and putting these tracks together. The shear energy and thumping beats of ATB's set is enough to keep you up till the wee hours of the morning. The tracks build great momentum from one song to the next and it is a solid mix. I have to say though, towards the end, I sensed a loss of steam compared to the ramped up beginning. George Acosta's CD felt like sand paper to me. It was way too rough and out of control. The beats are too intense and after a while it gets annoying. Not one of his best mixes. Still ATB's mix is worth the reason to get this set. If you like George Acosta's mix, that's cool too :-)
140 minutes of transcendental trance... May 14, 2005 joseph b. faulkner (san diego, california USA) let these two discs take you away!...having never heard ATB before,i bought this primarily for Acosta...ATB blew my socks off and Acosta finished the job! i have no idea what anyone could find wrong with this gorgeous compilation...it truly is a journey out of this world. i have lots of trance, van dyk, oakey, lawrence et al...this is up there with the best of 'em. crank it up and let yourself go....
ATB Side Down,Acosta Side Up! May 10, 2005 Michael Mayhem (Greenville,SC) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Let me say that Ministry of Sound should have NEVER let the king of cheese,ATB be included in a trance compilation! He couldnt be a real dj if he tried.Acosta did a great job with his track selection though. If it were me,I'd have put Armin Van Buuren or Paul Van Dyk on the 1st cd,they rock!Him and George together would have easily made a 5 star cd in my book.Get this but burn the 1st disc, because it's worth nothing but a good coaster or frisbee.
great mix August 3, 2004 S. Barton (Waterbury, CT United States) This cd didnt dissapoint me one bit. ATB as uaual did a phenominal job of mixing the songs and he had a great lineup of songs as well. George Acosta played good tracks too, the cd he mixes on this ablum is much better than his "History of Trance." If you are a trance fan then this cd will definitley fit nicley in your collection.
