Amazon.com Is there a more perfect musical metaphor for Nip/Tuck's themes of deeper-than-skin neuroses and narcissistic surgical reinvention than the chic chimera of a club remix? Josh Gabriel and Dave Dresden, the dub savants behind contemporary club successes that include Andain's "Beautiful Things", Motorcycle's "As the Rush Comes" and Sarah McLachlan's "Fallen," conjur up a nigh-seamless soundscape of haunting textures and percolating beats here, forcefully pushing the envelope of what a smart song-score can be in the bargain. Their rhythmic reinvention of The Engine Room's theme for the show, "A Perfect Lie," sets the cynical, haunting tone, with Gabriel and Dresden employing a sensibility that's both more mature and austere than their typical club work. G&D infuse that consistently entrancing sensibility to material as diverse as the cool-jazz of "Angels" by Wax Poetic/Norah Jones, Daniel Ash's stripped-down reinvention of the standard "Fever" and the retro-disco of Client's "Price of Love." If it's a triumph of style over substance, it's one that musically underscores the show's similar themes with grace and ever-detached elegance. --Jerry McCulley

Wonderful Mixes April 6, 2008 B. Harun Tulunay (Turkey) This is amazing.. Maybe the best TV series soundtrack album I've ever listened.
All album is amazing. Tracks are wonderful. G&D's mixes are brilliant.
You must have this album for your collection. Also if you love electronic or chillout music, you should buy this album.
an excellent mix December 3, 2007 Isabella I think this is one of the genre's best mixes ever. It flows to the point where you never have to skip a track, and by the time you finish listening, you are surprised at it being over so soon. 5 stars!
Cool songs August 8, 2007 A. L. Lattig (Greensboro, NC) This is a unique CD. I love the songs and the arrangement is good too!
Missing Song July 29, 2007 Robert D. Newton (Sharpsburg, Georgia USA) A good CD but I'm wondering who is doing the cover of "Wicked Game?" I believe it is the group Giant Drag, but with 57 covers of that song it's hard to tell.
The music fits well with the show and stands alone pretty well also.
Good CD July 10, 2007 M. Selph 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I did enjoy this CD but not all of the music was as it was on the show.
