This album was conceived when dance-club DJs were gaining recognition alongside original composers. Heavily influenced by techno-pop, the singles "Policy of Truth," "Enjoy the Silence," and "World in My Eyes" prove that DM did their homework. This album has aged extremely well.It sounds as fresh as the first time I heard it 1989. Every track is excellent and and there is no filler. I usually don't listen to whole albums, but this was the exception.I strongly recommend it.It is by far the best Depeche Mode album.

This is the must have album for Depeche Mode. What more can I really say. Several hit songs, very good. I'm not a die hard fan but for the average fan, this ranks very high up there.
