B&J 3 - Best mix of 2004 February 17, 2005

In a year that has produced very little in the way of decent, commercial trance mixes B&J top the pile with this offering. From the harder mixes of Perfect Silence and The Orange Theme all the way through some of 2004's top tunes (New Life, In Silence, Typhoon, Hangin on a String, Synaesthesia) this is a quality album. They may not be technically the best DJs in the world but for tune selection this wasn't beat in 2004.

I have been anticipating the release of volume three and it has been well worth the wait! If you like the first two mix albums, then you will absolutely love this one! B & J have outdone themselves again and brought the trance genre up another level. Great compilation and mix make this one my favorite of all the mix volumes!

When i first heard this compilation it blew my mind. It has stayed the most listened to in my collection for the entire year. Very sweet and melodic tunes. The best rythm i have heard in years, and an excellent selection of tracks for everyone from the hardcore trance freak to the occassional junkie. If you listen to trance and you don't have this album, shame on you.

Blank & Jones's "Mix Volume 3" typifies another outstanding example of the dynamic duo's unique talent in expertly showcasing the cutting edge of European trance and makes a convincing statement as to the validity of the genre's existence. From track selection to mixing techniques, there is simply no mix today that can surpass this double compilation which has indeed set the standard by which all great trance mixes should be judged. Every nuance has been considered and carefully managed to present the forefront of this genre of dance music. As with previous mixes from Blank & Jones, one only begins to enjoy this mix after multiple auditioning and thereafter one's appreciation increases with each additional listening. Not to be played with average audio system in ordinary settings and not to be listened without prior experience of trance and similarly great mixes!
